FAQQ1:What are the main testing items in the central lab? A: In central lab, the main testing items include Pharmacogenomics, Biomarkers, high-throughput bioassays, chemistry, safety testing and POCT (Point-Of-Care Testing). The area covered includes cardiovascular disease, cancer infectious and metabolism diseases.
Q2:Describe your main clients? A: We are a service provider. Samples come from Pharmaceutical Company, Biotech Company, Academic Institutions, Hospitals and other clients who need the services.
Q3:Have the equipments and the testing items in the central lab been evaluated and validated? A: The equipments in the central lab have been validated before conducting assays. They are in compliance with FDA 21CFR Part11. Most of the testing items are FDA IVD approved tests.
Q4:What operating standards are implemented in your lab? A: There are a full set of SOPs in the central lab, including the SOPs of lab management, employees training, samples processing and reagents storage, use and maintenance of equipment, lab QC, lab information system, customer services and so on. We are officially enrolled college of American pathology (CAP) proficiency test program.
Q5:How to preserve the samples in the central lab? A: We provide sample storage service for our clients. There is a separate room for sample storage in the central lab. We have -20°C, -80°C freezers for long-term storage and refrigerators for short-term storage. In addition, we have a number of freezers available for storing large amount of samples.
Q6:How do you monitor sample storage condition? A: We have installed a wireless monitoring system in the central lab. It can monitor the temperature and humidity for every freezer and refrigerators for 24 h/ 7 d. The electronic record is printed out on regular base and can be provided as part of the storage report.
Q7:How long do you maintain operation after the power failure? A: In addition to the hospital UPS, the central lab has installed its independent UPS system to ensure the instruments and other equipments in operation. After power failure, the power can supply at least half hour when all equipments are running in the central lab.
Q8:How to handle the biohazard waste in the central lab? A: The central lab is located in the hospital. The biohazard waste is handled by the Medical Waste Processing System of the hospital. |
